    Blueberry and kiwi smoothie recipe

    smoothie recipes

This is one of the simplest breakfast dishes we have; it only takes five minutes to prepare and provides a wholesome, balanced meal.

To get started, all you need is a blender and four basic ingredients. Blueberries are a superfruit, full of minerals and antioxidants, and kiwis are a great source of vitamin C. In the UK, the blueberry season lasts for a short while, from mid-July to early-September. The good news is that finding British ones in the supermarket is getting easier. Since blueberries are currently the second most popular berry in our nation (after strawberries, of course), growers are entering the market at an increasing rate. Additionally, try looking for frozen ones if you are unable to locate in-season ones. Because of their thick skins, blueberries freeze better than any other berry. There are two portions in this recipe.

Seal it in a jar or wide-neck bottle and store it for tomorrow if there is just one of your.

    Ingredients:

    • Two kiwi fruits
    • 150g (5 oz) of blueberries, with 10 set aside for garnish
    • Two tablespoons natural low-fat yogurt
    • One tablespoon of low-fat sweetener

    Method:

    1. Cut open the kiwi and coarsely peel. Add the yogurt, low-calorie sweetener, blueberries, and place in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
    2. After tasting and adjusting the sweetness as needed, garnish the dish with the blueberries that were set aside.

Top Tip For This Blueberry And Kiwi Smoothie

Replace the sweetness in your smoothie with half a banana if you'd prefer not to use any.
