Raw Vegan Fruit Yogurt

  • 3 seedless tangerines
  • 2 tablespoons shelled hemp seeds

Instead of hemp seeds, you can use, for example, sesame seeds or almonds for this recipe. I personally prefer hemp seeds because:

  • They are the only seeds that do not contain the antinutrient, phytic acid, and thus soaking these seeds in not necessary prior to their use.
  • Unlike most nuts and seeds, they have a very favorable ratio of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.
  • No dehydration of the seeds is required after their removal from their shells.
  • Hemp is a plant that is grown organically.

  • blender

  • Peel the tangerines.
  • Put tangerines and hemp seeds in the blender.
  • Blend these ingredients into yogurt.
  • Pour the yogurt into a glass.
  • Enjoy the creamy drink.

Date - Carob drink

  • 6-7 fresh dates
  • 1 tablespoon raw carob powder *
  • a cup of warm water

A frequently asked question: why I don’t use cacao?

Ground cacao is obtained by heat treatment of cacao beans. While only the flesh of the cacao fruit is edible, the seeds are inedible raw and must be processed by fermentation and dehydration in order to be eaten. So, raw cacao is not edible. The sole need to process something to make it even edible speaks to whether something is natural food or not.

In addition, cacao beans contain theobromine (a relative of caffeine), cannabinoids and many other psychoactive substances. Have you heard that someone has an indescribable craving for more chocolate or that they can’t stop eating chocolate or even have a headache in the absence of a certain dose of chocolate, which disappears with the consumption of chocolate? This is quite telling.

On the other hand, carob is an extremely healthy pod, edible from the tree and very tasty

  • blender

  • Depit the dates.

  • Heat the water slightly.

  • Put the dates, carob and warm water in the blender.
  • Blend these ingredients.

  • Pour the warm, yet raw, date-carob drink into a glass.

  • Put on your jacket, put on a hood, gloves if necessary, and go out on a cold day with a glass of your warm and raw drink and enjoy every warm sip.

I hope that this date-carob drink will be a pleasant hot drink for you on cold days. Thanks in advance for commenting and sharing this recipe.
